Party Fears was first formed in South Korea by Maggie Devlin. Moving to Berlin with former BaekMa bandmate, Eilis Frawley, the band continue to pursue their art-pop meets garage vision with jittery guitar riffs, party shout-outs, and unforgivingly disco drumbeats.
Described as BBC Across the Line as 'arch 80s art-pop' and coming in at #16 in Nialler9's Irish Albums of the year 2017 with 'superbly produced, bright rock'n'roll,' Party Fears forges its own brand of beat-up belters and soaring-chorused anthems.
'Catchy riffs and funky drumbeats abound – with an album already under their belt, Party Fears are bursting with radio potential.' Gigging NI
i DREW BLANK
I Drew Blank is a Berlin trio consisting of Dominik Jureschko of White Hand Gibbon, Eilis Frawley of Party Fears and Oyemi Hessou of Jaguwar. I Drew Blank make music with an authentic indie grit and a welcome directness, assisted by Dominik and Oyemi's offhand vocals and an uncluttered room sound. Locked down by razor wire guitar and a solid rhythm section, I Drew Blank provide the tonic to an increasingly frenetic lifestyle.
I co-founded Bang On in June 2016. With a strong focus on female artists Bang On hosts gigs, shoot videos, host a monthly radio show, monthly playlists, and promote local and not so local acts. Bang On aims to enrich the local music scene and offer more spaces for up-and-coming female artists.
